For more than 40 years, PĂ©zenas has tried to attract quality craftsmen to renovate and enliven its considerable architectural heritage: cabinetmaker, craftsman in iron, stone-cutter, props woman, tile setter, potter, more than 30 craftsmen to meet!

Graftsmen, designers and artists
Pézenas has encouraged artisans to come here for over thirty years. The rich and varied history and architecture of Pézenas has drawn artisans skilled in restoration (wood, metal and stone) and stage work. Many other craft trades have joined them, some fifty artisans now operating all year round. This has won Pézenas the label of "Ville et métiers d'art" (town of arts and crafts).
The remit of the Maison des MĂ©tiers d'Art, in the former house of the consuls, is to promote and develop regional craft trades and skills. All year it organises exhibitions, conferences and demonstrations. The artisans of the Pays de PĂ©zenas invite you to come and discover their work. Visits and demonstrations can be scheduled in advance.

Exhibition: « From heartwood to bark »
The Maison des MĂ©tiers d'Art puts the wood in the limelight, be it turned, engraved, gilt, inlaid, by exhibiting prestigious pieces of art made by 60 European creative artists of international fame with unlimited imagination. Open from 10 am to 7 pm, daily except Monday and late opening until 11 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays in July and August.

International Craft Trades Festival
In the heart of old PĂ©zenas, scene of medieval fairs and current creativity, some twenty craftsmen exhibit the artefacts they have designed and made in their workshops with their wide-ranging skills. They are identified by the label left and will welcome you warmly.
Antiques, Artists, Art galleries
Between Spain and Italy, PĂ©zenas-Val d'HĂ©rault is ideal for exchange, a fact well known to the many antique dealers who trade all year alongside the main road. In early May and October, they organise a big sale by the RN113. Ask for a detailed list of dealers from the PĂ©zenas-Val d'HĂ©rault tourist office and agencies. The craft tradition, revived over 30 years ago by the Mirondela dels Arts to enliven PĂ©zenas in the summer, now has an important place in the local galleries, open all year or in season, where talented artists display their work. About 14 artists, 4 galleries and 6 exhibition rooms are here to welcome art lovers.
